The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 1: Be Proactive

Proactive is when you are always prepared, ready and calm for anything that might happen. Yo make good choices and know how to act based on values and a good attitude. Proactive people know how to act and control their response to every situation whether is good or bad.
I think we all have to be proactive in our life because when you are proactive things will always keep you calm and happy because you know that what you are doing is right. Everyone has to be prepared for good things and bad things in life, life is full of obstacles but if we all apply this habit every single day, our life is going to change for better things.
Be a proactive not reactive and become a master of your emotions and intentions.

Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind

Begin with the End in Mind means to begin each day, task or project with a clear vision of your desired direction or destination, this habit also means to plan ahead and set goals. If you know what you want in life, work hard and try try until you achieve it.
People need to realize that planing ahead is the best thing we can do, because you know what your mission is, for example if you want to go to college, start thinking about your options and work hard everyday to have good grades and that way graduate from High School. If you want to be a better football player, practice everyday and as the time goes by, you will be a better football player.
Begin with the End in Mind also means building your future, and that's what everyone has to do, because if you set more goals everyday, great things will come to you everyday!

Habit 3: Put first things first
First things are those things you personally find of most worth. If you put the most important things first you will have an organized life, because you are organizing and managing time and events according to your personal priorities. Everyone has to apply this habit because this habit is really important.
Set your priorities, make your schedule and follow your plan and I am pretty sure good things will come to your life.

Habit 4: Think Win- Win
Always having a Win- Win attitude make us powerful because We are positive and that's the most important thing in life, being positive. If your life is full optimistic thoughts, your life will change in a better way. Think Win- Win does not mean that you think you are better than others, on the contrary Think Win- Win means to be a problem solver when an issue comes up to you or another person.
Thinking Lose- Lose means no one achieves success, and those thoughts will lead you to sad and depressed life. Avoid comparing yourself to others, you are unique and everyone is different, love yourself for who you are and be a creative and strong person.

Habit 5: Seek first to understand then to be understood
Everyone is different , and one of the common mistakes that people make is not to listen to other people's thoughts and ideas. This habit means that we all have to listen to other people's views and feelings even if they are different than your own. Every single person in this world is different and deserves respect and at least if we try to listen to other people's ideas this world might be better, because before to talk we have to listen and then other people we can understand us. Sometimes people listen without the intent to understand and they just listen with the intent to reply, be respectful and listen to others then you will be understood.
If you would like to apply this habit you can do it everywhere you go, for example at school, listen to your teachers ideas and also classmates that is a great place where you can apply it. Another example is at home, listen to your parents and your siblings, and if you apply this habit, it can lead you to have a better communication with your family.

Habit 6: Synergize
Synergize is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork and even though everyone is different we all have to respect each other. Synergize is produce far better results that we could individually.
Remember that " two heads are better than one" and it is always better to work together, and it is also fun at the same time because you are always talking and sharing ideas to each other, we can also learn from them another things that we don't know.
A great communication will always be the most important thing in a group. If you want to apply this habit, you can apply it at home with your siblings when it comes to the chores, or at school working with your classmates. Always remember that this habit will lead you to good things in your life.

Habit 7:  Sharpen the saw
Sharpen the saw means having a balanced program for self- renewal in the four areas of your life: Physical, Social/ Emotional, Mental and Spiritual. Each of these areas are really important, that's why we have to take care of them every single day.
Physical: Keeping your body in a good shape, exercising everyday, eating healthy and resting at least eight hours a day.
Social/ Emotional: We can apply this by making connections with friends, family or new people in our life
Mental: We can think about our acts and change our bad habits, our language and realize about how we treat others. Maybe we can read books instead of watch TV all day or listening to good music.
Spiritual: We must nourish our souls with prayer, meditation perhaps reading a good literature and also spending time in community service and helping others.

You can revitalize yourself, and face a new day in peace and harmony by applying this habit in your life.

Final Reflection.
These seven habits of Highly Effective People are very important because we could learn a lot of things for our life. Each one has a great message for us, a message that is going to  make us think about our acts and change them for good habits. In order to change ourselves we must be able to change our perceptions, and that is one of the benefits we might get if we apply these habits.
Perhaps It might be difficult to change our way to think or act, we can change our way of see the things though. It is not that difficult as it seems, if we want to do it, we can achieve our goal as well.
We all want to succeed. And one path of success is identifying the habits that can help us on our journey, and these are the perfect ones.
Typing about each of these habits made me change the way I see things in my life, and that is the most important benefit that i get doing this assignment. Now I will always apply these seven habits in my daily life, at school and at home, even though there is going to be times that I will be sad or in a negative mood, I will always keep in mind each of these habits. I will be proactive at school and I will put things first in my personal life.
These habits will lead you to success, never forget it, and have the courage to apply them!.
